Brown And Purple Mix

I've been working on this one for a bit. It's got a couple of newer tracks, several 80's tracks (I've been on a kick for finding lost 80's gems I haven't heard), a little "old-school rock-n-roll", and other stuff. It's not too long, about 40 minutes. You're already here, might as well download it - but wait until you can listen to the whole thing at once. And turn it up a little.

How often do people tell you you have a very strange taste in music?

Not often, I mostly just hang out with my lovely wife, who likes similar music. After a while you start to get bored with musical conventions, especially if you play an instrument. Come back to this mix, it will grow on you (and then hopefully skewer your own musical conventionality)

No, I can't claim to have ever heard of Josef K (the band that is, I've read the book), but I'll give the mix another go now that you've pimped it even more.

Also, is it just me or does Blogspot word verification always sound like eastern European prostitutes? To make this comment I had to type "Mirbevka".

Okay, it worked this time! Woohoo!

Goddamn that's a weird mix! Everyone of those songs is fucked up, but listening to the mix as a whole actually make them make sense.

I dig the Santana and the FBB tracks especially.

And I'm on quite a Leone/Morricone high at the moment, so I'm desperate to know where that Morricone track comes from! That's some really really good stuff.

The Morricone track comes from this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSmTcie3lg4
